i. Using your data table from 3.1, calculate the average velocity for your mousetrap car during the best run in the final assessment.

Total Distance: 3.92 Meters
Total Time: 4.11 Seconds
Average Velocity = 0.95 m/s (2 s.f)

ii. Which part of your mousetrap car design worked best? Explain your answer.

The wheels of the car worked very well. Even though the wheels were light, they provided enough traction to maximise the efficiency of our car. We believe this is due to us having a lever of appropriate length, which helped to reduce to torque of the car, which prevented the wheels from just slipping on the spot. The axle to wheel ratio is also very big. The diameter of the axle was a mere 5mm, whereas the diameter of the wheels were 100mm. This huge ratio helps to increase the number of revolutions of the wheel.

iii. If you had more time to work on your mousetrap car, state and explain how you will improve/modify the current design?

If we had more time to work on the car, i will try to use resin to replace all of the joints done with hot glue. This is because resin is tougher than hot glue. Another improvement we will make it to the length of the lever. We believe that if the length of the lever is longer, the car would travel faster.
